The Fry’s team took some time out the office to help the local community of Hillary and Carrington Heights earlier on this month. This is part of our Foundation’s Little Changes program which aims to get our staff involved in making small positive differences to our community, environment and the animals that inhabit our planet.
The communities in the informal settlements of Hillary and Carrington Heights are doing their best to overcome the challenging circumstances that they find themselves in. Having adequate food and shelter, what many take for granted, is a real problem to them as well as the ever pressing issue of unemployment.
Fry’s helped by donating clothing and with the planting of a veggie patch to ensure that they will have a long-term source of food.
Thanks to Amy, Melissa, Megan, Yavisha, and Shantal for making these little changes possible.
